Welcome to the CSMOA website
The CSMOA is a not for profit organization which aims to
provide useful links, safety alerts, and general information to
anyone interested / involved with the construction industry.
Meetings are held every two months and while we have a
regular venue for meetings, kindly provided by the Queensland
Master Builders Association, Spring Hill, we also endeavour to
have at least one or more meetings a year at a venue provided by
our members. These meetings include a tour conducted by the
member of the site/project with which the member is involved.
Such tours have always proved both popular and extremely
informative for our members.
Past tours have included the Brisbane Busway (Northern Link)
prior to opening; dismantling of boilers and turbines. at
Swanbank Power Station; a weekend trip to Chinchilla to tour the
Kogan Creek Power station during construction; tour of the
‘Aurora’ high rise construction in Brisbane and the specialised
techniques involved in such a construction; construction
extension to the Arthur Gorrie remand centre and discussions of
the security issues and their impacts on the construction
process; a demonstration of industrial abseiling techniques by
High Q trainers at their training centre in Brisbane; and a
demonstration by Tommy Tucker of a new height safety
access product developed by Tommy Tucker Trestles.
With the continued support of our members the Association
provides an informal networking environment to foster an
exchange of ideas and solutions for issues raised in the
construction industry.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
