New Traffic Management Code of Practice |

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, in partnership with the Department of Main Roads, recently ran a series of workshops on the new Code of Practice for Traffic Management for Construction or Maintenance Work. The code commenced on 1 September 2008. The seminars provided employers, particularly those concerned with road worker safety, with an overview of key aspects of the new code. The seminars also covered traffic management, including information on eliminating and/or minimising exposure to risk through using traffic guidance schemes. Meeting Dates 2009 General Meetings:
General Meetings will be held on the last Tuesday of every 'even' month, that is 24th February, 28th April, 30th June, 25th August and 27th October throughout 2009 Meeting Times:
General Meetings will normally commence at 4:00 pm.
Meetings will normally finish between 5:30 - 6:00 pm Meeting Venues:
There is no regular meeting venue as the Association endeavours to combine meetings with various site visits whenever possible. Next Meeting:
